Motivational Quotes
I love when JB shares his motivational quotes. I thought it would be uplifting and helpful if we share other quotes with each other. Here is one to start. "The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn." - Ralph Waldo Emerson. My take away is that the little changes we make to become more SANE will reap huge results in the future. I would love to hear your take on this quote or share some other quotes that have inspired you.

@SharynHopp I love this thread! Thank you for starting it!
Here's one I have been liking lately, "A bird doesn't fly because it has wings; it has wings because it flies." Robert Ardrey (1908-1980) He was an anthropologist who wrote about human behavior. In his thirties and forties he became a noted Hollywood screenwriter and then returned to being an anthropologist and author.

The words you speak to yourself today are the foods building your tomorrow.
We can sharpen our tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows- often toward ourselves. Or we can speak life building words.
Take care what words you feed on, "for they should be life to those who find them and health to one's whole body."

Yaaaaay!! Thank you @SharynHopp for creating this thread. I don't have a quote handy but I'll find one for tomorrow. I'm really thankful you created it.
Found one that I believe is very fitting.

@SharynHopp - I would agree that Jonathan has a lot of awesome quotes.
I've spent a lot of time typing them as I've typed up the show notes for the SANE Show. Here is a favorite:
“The difference between short-term temporary unhealthy weight loss and long-term health and happiness, at the end of the day, is habits because once you have healthy habits, you win. Done, because you don’t have to think about it; it’s not something you’re like, “Oh, can I cheat on this?” because it’s a habit. It’s just what you do. Establishing those habits is key.” -

This is a good reminder for myself:
"Even the smallest of thoughts have the potential to become the biggest of successes, all you have to do is get up and get going." - Anonymous -
We don't find, we create the Sane life we want to love to live -
I thought about you when I read this one @Joanne_SANECoach;
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt -
@Debora_SANECoach @Christine_SANECoach @AnissaBeilhardt I love reading all the quotes. I especially resonate with the one about making the smallest shift because that is what we are doing by eating SANE.

@Debora_SANECoach that is so beautiful and perfect, you are right!! brings tears to my eyes

Quote for Saturday 9/23/2017
Today would have been my mama's birthday so this is in her honor:
"Believe you deserve it and the universe will serve it"
"You are the mental architect of your own destiny" - Bob Proctor
That last one is SO TRUE for me. I know, beyond any doubt that my head is one of my biggest stumbling blocks to my weight loss. -
@AnissaBeilhardt. What a perfect quote for today.
-
See the things that you want as already yours. Know that they will come to you at need. Then let them come. Don’t fret and worry about them. Don’t think about your lack of them. Think of them as yours, as belonging to you, as already in your possession.

Here is one @Joanne_SANECoachshared in her journal before which I really like

"Even the smallest of thoughts have the potential to become the biggest of successes. All you have to do is get up and get going" - Anonymous
To that, I would add: Keep going! Which is what all ya'll help me do every day. when I have a rough day, I surf through journals. I find that seeing how others handle challenges gives me ideas of how to handle my own. I also find that adding encouraging words or giving ideas to others also helps me reset my frame of mind.

@Christine_SANECoach Thank you for the quote. I needed it. I slowed way down on everything these past two weeks and even stopped posting in my journal. It feels like when you start down a slippery slope it's hard to stop the momentum and start back up the hill.
-
That last quote is perfect @Christine_SANECoach - controlling how I respond has been a challenge for me for some time. so we'll just keep chipping away at it a bit at a time. thank you so much for posting that.
