  • I absolutely love cast iron cookware @LouiseStrong. 💖 Everything taste better cooked in them. My mom made a fantastic gumbo for my daughter's going away party last year in a cast iron dutch oven...yum yum yum!!!!
  • @Monique_SANECoach sounds delicious! I've never made gumbo before, only had it in restaurants . . . I just put it on my list of new things to try in the kitchen.
  • I am grateful . . .
    - that I made SANE selections when we went out for dinner last night
    - that a problem in one of my projects at work has been resolved
    - for the break a weekend brings
  • I am grateful . . .
    - my shoulder pain is almost gone, the massage treatments I've gotten the last couple of weeks has really helped
    - for my husband's investment in our sons, he is a great father
    - I'll be talking to my good friend today.
  • I am grateful ....
    - that even though I had a very stressful work week I managed to eat quite SANEly
    - grateful for the SANE community. Like I said it has been a very stressful week at work and in my haste I skipped my daily journaling. I genuinely missed it and noticed a negtive impact on my demeanor. It does my heart good not only to record what I am grateful for but to hear what others are grateful for ... really grounds me in the true pleasures of life and changes my outlook for the better. Thanks for sharing in this journey with me.
    - for a friend/coach/mentor who reached out to me this week at work, she gave me a much needed perspective
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the weekend
    - for a lovely dinner out with my family last night
    - that I can hear the birds chirping in the morning again
  • I am grateful . . .
    - the deep & long sleep I had last night
    - my health, I'm grateful for it everyday and no longer take it for granted as I did in my youth
    - my husbands perseverance and the example it sets for both me and our sons ... my husband makes lots of mistakes but never gives up and eventually reaches his goal
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the support I am receiving from my new manager at work
    - the opportunity to manage others and give back
    - that SANE is progress not perfection

  • I am grateful for . . .
    - the nice dinner I had last night with a good friend
    - that I got up at my usual time this morning ... been sleeping in an hour later last few days for some reason, grateful to have my quiet time this morning as usual
    - another day to learn, grow and achieve
  • I am grateful for . . .
    - the delicious asparagus I made last night, yummy
    - that it will be sunny and dry today
    - conversation around the dinner table with my family
  • I am grateful for . . .
    - The clarity of thought sleep brings. It seems every morning I have clarity on a problem or decision I was worrying about the day before. Feels like my brain is figuring it out while I am sleeping:)
    - New challenges at work. I've taken on some new responsibilities in my job that are challenging but very interesting. It brings a new energy to my day.
    - The love I have for my children, so effortless in spite of their imperfections.
  • I am grateful . . .
    - For the good time the whole family had at my son's hockey game last night. He is on a better calibre team than he normally plays on and he really enjoyed the faster pace and competition.
    - The weekend is here and I can focus less on work and more on my family.
    - That the goal is progress not perfection. There have been a lot of changes at work the past couple of weeks. Good changes but change is always stressful. As is my inclination I turn to food for comfort and have not been eating nearly as SANE the past couple of weeks. I am grateful to the SANE community and SANE program as they continue to remind me that the goal is progress not perfection.
  • I am grateful ...
    - for the SANE eating I enjoyed yesterday
    - for the long walk I took in the sunshine yesterday morning. The whole neighborhood was alive with people outside doing every kind of activity.
    - the new gas grill we got (the other one broke) ... once we assemble it we can grill again for the first time since the long winter

  • I am grateful . . .
    - that I can hear the birds chirping outside in a chorus
    - for the delicious roasted cauliflower I made for dinner last night
    - that my husband got the gas grill assembled last night ... we can grill again!
  • I am grateful . . .
    - that the new project manager at working is catching on
    - for the relaxing evening I had last night with my husband, it has been a busy week
    - for the information my sister provided about my Dad's health, very enlightening
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the genuine passion and joy my husband finds in hockey . . . playing it, coaching it, watching our sons play, watching it on tv. It is contagious and pure and healthy for the family.
    - that spring is here. The days are long again. I can be outside before and after work again. Such a welcome reprieve from the long, dark days of winter. This is why I enjoy the 4 seasons, the change from one to another is always so welcome! (even winter, at first at least:))
    - curiosity, it takes the stress out of problem solving
  • I am grateful . . .
    - my son's team won all 3 games in their hockey tournament this weekend and are in the final today. He is so excited!
    - I cut up all my veggies/salad for the week. I eat so much better when I prepare ahead of time.
    - for the extra sleep I got this weekend. I think it helped me avoid catching the cold my son has (fingers-crossed)
  • I am grateful . . .
    - my son's hockey team won the final, they were all so excited :)
    - for the delicious stir fry I made for dinner last night, so very satisfying
    - that my neice and her family enjoyed their cross-country trip and made it home safely
  • @LouiseStrong Congrats to your Son and his hockey team winning their tournament! That is awesome!
    It’s my favorite sport!
  • @Sandra JSweeney Thanks for sharing my joy Sandra:)
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the new relationships I am developing at work due to my new responsibilities
    - that I get to work from home most days rather than going into the office. I have to go into the office today (before covid I went everyday, 5 days a week). It reminds me of how much I appreciate all the days I get to work from home now. Working from home reduces the stress in my life.
    - that it is not raining today, I should be able to go for a nice walk after work
  • I am grateful . . .
    - the hugs I get from my sons every morning
    - another nice day on the horizon
    - progress not perfection
  • I am grateful ...
    - for the lovely walks I took yesterday. They are so healthy for me in everyway ... I see the folks in my neighborhood, get fresh air and sunshine, use my body and free my mind.
    - for the good night's sleep I had last night. I was so well rested I woke up before my alarm. I think the walking contributes to sound sleep also!
    - the sweet puppy I met on my walk who smothered me with kisses
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the beautiful, sunny morning inviting me outside
    - that the tree I had planted last year is budding (it never grew any leaves all last summer and I thought it was dead)
    - for Mother's Day! my husband and sons help me plant flowers in my yard every Mother's days and I always look forward to it
  • I am grateful . . .
    - the absolutely beautiful day I had yesterday working with my family in the yard to plant some annual flowers like we do each Mother's Day weekend. BEST MOTHER'S DAY GIFT EVER:)
    - that neither the deers nor the rabbits have eaten any of the freshly planted flowers as they have in previous years (fingers-crossed)
    - for how the neighborhood comes alive in spring and the community feeling of folks walking their dogs and babies, jogging, gardening, playing catch ... seems like both the plants and the people blossom in spring.
  • I am grateful . . .
    - that I woke up bright and early to the sound of birds

    - the good workout I had at the gym yesterday, I can feel my muscles today
    - green leafy salad ... I've learned to love it and look forward to it daily
  • I am grateful . . .
    - the nice dinner out I had with coworkers last night
    - that my husband returned from his 3-day business trip, we missed him
    - the comforts of home
  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the lovely, long walks I took over the weekend
    - the delicious burgers my husband made, so juicy
    - my college son is working so hard to be ready for his final exams
