    - for the great time we had in Chicago this weekend at the hockey tournament
    - that I ate pretty sanely in Chicago ... lots of salads
    - that my son finished his college exams and did pretty well
  • @LouiseStrong Congrats to your son and his team, I understand that was a pretty tough tournament!
    What age group is he in? 
    My grandson also won 2, lost 2 and took 4th place out of 9 teams in the 10 year old’s.
    I’m glad you all had a great time and great job eating SANEly while away!
  • @Sandra JSweeney I am glad to hear your grandson's team faired pretty well. My son is 14 but the tournament he was in was very large with many age groups ... could have been the same one your grandson was in:)

    - for the comforts of home ... I always enjoy going away for a weekend, part of joy is coming back home:)

    - my hair stylist ... been going to her for years now. I actually hate taking the time for my hair but my chats with her are so lovely it feels more like a social visit than an obligation.

    - that my son's summer job search is going well

    - for the beautiful campfire we had outside in the backyard last night, so relaxing and soothing. I love the smell, the sound and the beauty of a fire.
    - that my younger son will soon finish school for the summer and we can travel to see family
    - for the extra day off work this weekend and a beautiful weather forecast to go with it

    - for a productive weekend, got all my chores and errands done
    - all the things I am learning about myself and how to eat more sanely, it really is a journey
    - audio books, I love to listen to them while I walk

    - my son has a job interview today, whether he gets it or not it will help him with his anxiety about the job search
    - my younger son graduates middle school tomorrow
    - we're planning a trip home to visit family in July

    - that my younger son's 8th grade graduation went well
    - that my older son's is becoming more engaged and thoughtful in his job search
    - that I have every opportunity ahead of me

    - for Friday nights with my family ... nice dinner and a game of cards :)
    - that my gym appointment is an hour later this morning and I can take my time
    - all the rain and sunshine is making the plants flourish

    - the 2 long walks I took yesterday, what a lovely day it was

    - that I did not mindlessly eat yesterday. It has been particularly stressful at work which often leads to me eating for comfort.
    - that I scheduled a work trip I've been procrastinating on, nice to get that off my back
    - that my son starts his new job Monday. This is a big step for my son who has some social anxiety.

  • I am grateful . . .
    - for the time we spent together while my husband grilled pork chops last night ... my husband, 2 sons and I sitting in the back yard in the sunshine hungrily waiting for the chops to come off the grill. A pleasant time after a long work day.
    - that my work schedule starts later this morning and I can get a walk in before it starts
    - my 96 year old Father got a room at the veterans' home, he's been on the waiting list and is so happy to be there
