  • @RainaSingh I want that cheesecake! However, quark isn't around here.... I am going to have to find a substitute or specialty store

@Wednesday_SANECoach We don't have quark in New Zealand either, you can blend cottage cheese to a smooth consistency and substitute with that!  The recipe developer doesn't explain that on the website but I have her book and she explains it in there
  • Awesome! Thanks! Adding this to my weekend cooking projects!
  • RainaSingh, I just clicked on the link for ProteinPow, and I think I am in love!!!  And now my belly is grateful to you for introducing us!! LOL!
  • @SandyGrady - Yay!!  It's a wonderful site, please share with us if you make anything from it - I've made the cheesecake a few times for non-SANE people and they have been non the wiser

    Today I am grateful for:
    1. My workplace - I got awarded Employee of the Month and I am well and truly humbled!
    2. My wit and confidence - someone made a rude remark in the gym today and I handled the situation like boss
    3. My newest pair of fabulous leggings #teamleggingsaspants
  • @RainaSingh those are fabulous! I love fun yoga pants and pretty much wear them the majority of my days! In fact I put on jeans or a skirt on sundays only, lol
  • @RainaSingh  Since you loved the pic of the deer, I thought you'd really appreciate this one.  It was taken in my back yard as well.  My uncle & cousins live in aukland and they love it when I post moose pics, makes my uncle think of home, not enough to make him to convince his Kiwi born wife to relocate back to Canada though.  They've lived in NZ for about 30 yrs.

  • @LynnetteStork that is way way way too cool!
  • @LynnetteStork WOW, amazing!  I know that when New Zealanders typically meet Canadians, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is "HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MOOSE????", we absolutely love the thought of them - so its trippy to me that one trotted into your backyard!  Too awesome!  Thank you so much for sharing, you brought a true moment of joy to my day <3

    Today I am grateful for:
    1. The latest coaching call, so much amazing information, thank you @JonathanBailor !
    2. The glorious purple, red, and orange sunrise-lit sky that greeted me when I exited the gym doors this morning

  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. The ability to walk up and down the stairs.  I have missed being able to do this without clinging onto either crutches or the railings for dear life!
    2. My washing machine.  Man, it does so much work for me!
    3. This chicken recipe.  Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Drumsticks for the win!
  • @RainaSingh

That recipe looks great. I can't wait to try it.
  • @Lori_SANECoach - I honestly got so unreasonably excited about it, LOL!  I've been telling everyone about it this morning, I've never been so excited about chicken before  :D

    1. Jealous
    2. Yes.
    3. I was all "yay, podcast recommendation!" And then I saw "horror" and fled.
  • @NicoSedivy Bahahahah, I listen to other podcasts too!  :D
  • @NicoSedivy I'm with you buddy.  I hit that link and then was going to write a gratitude that I managed to close it before I got scared!!

    I'm onto you now @RainaSingh !!
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. Being kind to myself and having an extra hour of sleep rather than coming into the gym before work.  Yesterday I was up from 4:30am through to midnight working on a document (which I didn't manage to complete in the end).  I am looking forward to a full night's sleep tonight.
    2. Cauliflower Hummus (recipe is from this book).  Goes so beautifully with the sunflour crackers I made!
    3. The Grownups Read Things They Wrote As Kids Podcast
  • I loooooooooove cauli hummus!
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. A good, deep sleep after a day of being incredibly sleep deprived
    2. Being able to complete the majority of a large document that I was tasked to do
    3. The fact that the attached image of me being sassy to my boss is standard behaviour in my workplace (bahaha)
  • Oh wow! That's great you have a job that complements your personality rather than squelching it!

  • Oh wow! That's great you have a job that complements your personality rather than squelching it!

I think the Chesire Cat in Alice in Wonderland described it best when it comes to describing the personalities in my workplace: "We're all mad here".  :D
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. Coffee.  Oh sweet manna from heaven.
    2. Helpful and cooperative colleagues.
    3. The 'Find my iPhone' app
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. A full, mostly uninterrupted nights sleep.  After a week where the sleep has been compromised, it was the best gift I could give to myself.
    2. The supermarket near the gym, stocked to the brim with veggies that will sustain me today.
    3. The three ladies taking their furbabies for a walk this morning - seeing the three of them walking together with their dogs leading the way put a massive smile on my face.
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. The fact that my local bulk food and spice store sells konjac noodles, fettuccine and rice!
    2. That I am able to go to the vegetable shop across the road from the office in my lunch break
    3. Rooibos tea
  • Today I am grateful for:
    1. Cat pyjamas
    2. Sleep socks
    3. Hot water bottles

    1. Buy and Sell Groups on Facebook - have scored a couple of fabulous deals on clothes!
    2. The new pair of ponte leggings that I'm wearing right now
    3. The Judge John Hodgman Podcast
